Introduction
The graduate program consists of 24 credits, including 6 compulsory credits for the courses “Thesis Methodology” and “Research Overview”, and 18 elective credits. Up to 9 of the elective credits may be fulfilled through credit exemptions (please refer to the official regulations for details). Students may complete the program within 1 to 4 years, with the possibility of an additional 2 years of suspension if needed.
Our curriculum covers both literary and cultural domains. Course offerings vary each year, allowing students to choose subjects according to their academic interests.
The master’s thesis may be written in either French or Chinese. Furthermore, various thesis formats are accepted: a traditional academic thesis, a thesis with interpretation, a creative project accompanied by a thesis, or a thesis based on internship analysis.
NCU maintains partnerships with numerous sister universities worldwide, and we strongly encourage our students to participate in exchange programs or pursue internships abroad. We collaborate with several organizations that offer internship opportunities, such as working as Mandarin teaching assistants, film production assistants, or staff in sports or wine trading companies. Each year, our students also take part in the Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Exchange Program, through which they travel to France and Belgium to teach Mandarin in local schools.
